Leigh Robinson would have to be one of the most blessed criminals in Australian Legal history when you consider his criminal past.
This piece of human flotsam killed two innocent women and raped and sexually assaulted two other’s over a prolonged period of time but the worst part about his offending was that it shouldnt have happened.
Robinson was originally sentenced to death for the first murder, but unfortunately, this sentence was commuted to 30 years jail,however,due to inept and incompetent judgement by the parole board of the day he was out in 15 years.
He then proceeded to rape and sexually assault two under age girls for a lengthy period of time whilst shacked up with one of the victims’ mother and it was only as a result of the bravery of the victims that he was charged and convicted of rape. For this horrendous crime he was given a paltry 5 years.
Now with a record like this, should’nt the Court have taken his earlier sentence reduction into account before handing down judgement?
No it didnt because the Courts value the rehabilitation of a scumbag like Robinson over the rights of the victims and the community to be able to live in a safe place. This nutcase then went on to murder another lady who happened to fall for his cunning and jealous persona.
For those people who say Capital Punishment doesnt work, let me say that there are four victims of his actions who would have loved the State to have put a noose around this useless cretin and pulled the handle.
Executed criminals never reoffend!!!
